Video Rating: 4 / 5
Manga University brings you a face-to-face tutorial from Atsuhisa Okura, author of “Moe USA” and illustrator of “50 Things We Love About Japan.” In this workshop, Okura-sensei will demonstrate how to draw a basic background using single point perspective. You’ll also learn how to draw people and props in proportion to your backdrop. Want to have your own drawings looked at and even re-drawn by a professional manga artist? It’s easier than you think! I think Delia Derbyshire was making Minimal Techno before it was Minimal? Techno. Listen to some of the loops she plays and syncs up using those several tape players and imagine a four on the floor fat subby kick drum and some nice shuffling hi hats.
I’m? told the subliminal guy in the background is Victor Lewis Smith
So… what’s the final answer for this omnipresent being in the background? Who is he? Is? he security?
the Brits have an awesome (albeit kinky) sense of humor…hence the Chesire cat in the blue shirt.?
a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-alchemist?
WTF IS THAT GUY DOING WITH THE BLUE SHIRT!!!?
BBC Radiophonic Workshop in a nutshell: They used tape and? they hit things.
What is the music at 3:15??
4 people are stupid.?
Oliver? Postgate ftw
I? have to keep checking that the man isn’t standing behind me
Who the FUCK are those guys in the background?! And WHY are they? so creepy?!
The? guy in the Background represents Auntie Beeb, the watchful, prudish eyes of the BBC. Also note that time on the clock is 19:58.
That guy? in the background looks like a perv
@cpi23? I wonder if he was paid for doing that ?
hey? look, its *wheres waldo*!
That’s Adrian from? Portishead!
I see a ghost D:?
@cpi23 – It’s Bill Bailey, upset they closed the workshop down afore he could play with the? equipment for himself.
I had to watch this in a class and I honestly thought it? was some sort of bizarre brainwashing video that would turn everyone into assassins.
I WANT TO BUY? THIS DVD.. IT DOESNT EXIST
Room 13, ooooo, love the mystique…?
I love? these documentaries about the Radiophonic.
@cpi23 I think he is behind? my tv now…

“And that’s how you draw a background”… *stares blankly for a few seconds*.. *blinks*…what.. I? don’t draw but I love anime so I want to learn.. guess theres nothing for it but to try.. This looks pretty daunting though lol
My school’s art program SUCKS.my teacher literally gives us notebooks and just tells us to draw really goood stuff for the exam. i want to go to a college that deals with Manga and Animation. with this, i’m not going to make it.

@raitei2000 In Japan there’s many schools where they mainly theach manga and anime drwaing/making. Maybe there’s some in the USA? or other countrys too. But in Japan there’s many school about manga/anime.
This is really great. One day or another, I’m? gonna try drawing a manga and I’m gonna make it awsome !
I bet 10 people dont have a pencil? in? there house!
@yuhuachenli I think the college is only for people who are absoloutley serious about becoming manga artists. It’s very strict so if you are absoloutley serious about becoming a manga artist and making your own manga, you could go.
It’s not a learning college but you get? tips on your work. (real famous manga artists are the teachers there)
@greenday2themax REALLY? I wanna go? there!
what kind of pencils do i have to buy to? be able to draw nicely??
@yuhuachenli Well, there? is a manga school in Kyoto, Japan.
We are real! You can visit our website at mangauniversity com?
I want? manga university to be real!!!
@VikingRage7 yahhhh? thats hard

@raitei2000 yap real life sucks? .
@Nastia179 thats minimal?
Damn, I need to spend? a month or more to learn how to draw this.
@raitei2000? Well it is possible. If a major arts university opened a manga division
thank you, i actually understood? this one! i am sadly incapable of learning things through reading and all that perspective. its better if i can just see someone else do it and learn from that
